Each year Judges from all over NSW, Australia and the world are invited to judge the various competitions at the Sydney Royal Easter Show and Sydney Royal Wine, Dairy and Fine Food Shows.
Judges are recommended by industry and peak bodies and then finally selected by each of the Committees responsible for Competitions at the Show.
Those selected to judge at Sydney Royal Competitions have shown themselves to be dedicated, passionate professionals with superior expertise in their section. Sydney Royal judges play an important role in improving the standard of exhibits by offering an impartial ’expert’ opinion.
Most judges have been involved in their industries for many years and have extensive training and education. They generally have significant experience travelling and judging at other Shows throughout Australia and the world. Judging is for the most part a voluntary service.
Judging at Sydney Royal Competitions is an honour and to be selected to judge is an acknowledgement that the judge has reached the highest level within their industry.
