WHAT DOES BEING AN RAS RURAL ACHIEVER MEAN???
Bringing together ambitious, enthusiastic and dedicated young achievers in the rural sector, the 2008 RAS Rural Achievers Competition rewarded the efforts of young Australians. Each of the nominated competitors had in some way gone the extra step in contributing to agricultural industries, Show communities and rural areas at large. Competing for networking opportunities, media exposure and a variety of prizes, the young achievers were granted an all-expenses paid trip to Sydney to witness a ‘behind the scenes’ glance at Australia’s largest event as well as gaining insight into agricultural industries and meeting those who have made a life out of the land. Animal nutritionist, Alice MacCue of Bellata, was awarded National Representative for NSW.
