2010 Sydney Royal Cattle Show Champions

Congratulations to all those involved in the 2010 Sydney Royal Cattle Show.
Results across all sections were excellent, with animals of exceptional quality on show.

In the DAIRY Section Jerseys took out the SUPREME JUVENILE CHAMPION DAIRY FEMALE and the coveted SUPREME CHAMPION DAIRY FEMALE while Holsteins claimed the SUPREME JUNIOR CHAMPION DAIRY FEMALE, the Pen of Three Females, 3yrs and over and the animal with the highest overall total kgs fat plus protein.

Congratulations to B GAVENLOCK & M POLSON, winners of the SUPREME CHAMPION DAIRY FEMALE with their Jersey cow GOLD LABEL DAYDREAM.

 

In the PUREBRED STEER and CARCASE Competition results were excellent, with four Sydney Royal SILVER Medals and nine Sydney Royal BRONZE Medals being awarded.
The Limousins claimed the STAN HILL TROPHY, followed closely by the Murray Greys and Square Meaters.
Congratulations go to St Johns College Dubbo on their winning CHAMPION SCHOOL STEER - WILWORRIL SPINNIFEX and GRAND CHAMPION STEER - WILWORRIL DOMINATOR; Coonamble High School Bovine Appreciation Club on their winning CHAMPION SCHOOL CARCASE; and The Scots School Bathurst on their winning GRAND CHAMPION CARCASE.

 

In the BEEF Section Charolais reigned supreme taking out the inaugural RAS SUPREME BEEF INTERBREED HEIFER, and both the HORDERN and URQUHART Trophies for Supreme Beef Breed Championship and Supreme Beef Exhibit respectively.

Congratulations to Gavin & Kristie O'Brien of Winchester Charolais Stud, Orange - winners of the RAS Supreme Beef Interbreed Heifer with WINCHESTER DAISY DUKE;  David & Prue Bondfield of Palgrove Charolais, Dalveen - winners of the URQUHART TROPHY for the Supreme Beef Animal with PALGROVE PANACHE 149; and T. Farrell & R. Harms of THW Charolais, Casino and David & Prue Bondfield of Palgrove Charolais, Dalveen - winners of the HORDERN TROPHY for the Supreme Beef Breed with winning bull THW DEE V8 and winning female PALGROVE PANACHE 149.
